The role (this is a high-activity hunter role)
You will own new business growth in Winnipeg and surrounding areas. You’ll prospect daily, book meetings, build proposals quickly, and close campaigns that deliver real outcomes for local businesses.
What you’ll do
- Build a strong pipeline through daily prospecting (walk-ins, referrals, networking, outbound, events)
- Meet business owners and marketing decision-makers, uncover needs, and recommend solutions that match their goals
- Sell integrated campaigns across radio, digital, and community activations (remotes, interviews, endorsements, social)
- Price, negotiate, and close deals; manage renewals and upsells through excellent service
- Maintain tight CRM discipline (notes, next steps, pipeline stages, forecast accuracy)
- Collaborate with programming/traffic/digital teams to execute campaigns smoothly
- Track results and provide clients with clear post-campaign reporting and next-step recommendations
You’re a strong fit if you
- Have 2+ years of closing experience in advertising/media, telecom, B2B services, or another high-volume sales environment
- Thrive in a relationship-driven market where trust and credibility matter
- Can comfortably sell to businesses across diverse local communities
- Are confident presenting, negotiating, and asking for the close
- Move fast: you can build proposals and get approvals without dragging timelines
- Prefer being in the field and meeting clients, not sitting behind a desk all day
- Have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Bonus points
- Existing network with Metro Vancouver small businesses
- Experience selling marketing solutions (radio, digital, social, print, sponsorships)
- Comfortable working community events, festivals, and live promotions
