Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role requires a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tables efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not mandatory, as training will be provided. The Server will play a vital role in enhancing the overall dining experience and supporting the smooth operation of the restaurant.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Upsell menu items to increase guest satisfaction and sales opportunities
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are maintained throughout service
- Assist with food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed to support team efficiency
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables while providing attentive guest service
- Address guest inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and ensure a positive dining experience
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations in accordance with sanitation guidelines
Skills
- Proven experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, for order entry and cashiering
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy service periods efficiently
- Knowledge of food handling, safety protocols, and sanitation standards in the food industry
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing tabs
- Ability to perform food safety practices during serving and food preparation tasks
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with kitchen staff and team members
- Upselling techniques to enhance guest experience and increase sales potential
- Kitchen experience or food industry background is a plus but not required
