Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable Ready Mix Driver to operate commercial trucks and deliver concrete to construction sites. Concrete Experience preferred but will train the right candidate. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, experience with heavy equipment operation, and a solid understanding of construction processes. This role is vital in ensuring timely deliveries and supporting the smooth operation of our construction projects. Duties
- Safely operate ready mix concrete trucks to deliver materials to various construction sites
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each trip
- Assist with loading and unloading concrete, ensuring proper handling of materials
- Communicate effectively with site personnel regarding delivery schedules and site-specific requirements
- Perform routine maintenance checks on trucks and report any mechanical issues promptly
- Support other construction activities as needed, including basic concrete forming, paving, or loader operation
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues and perform routine maintenance
- Experience in commercial driving, with a valid CDL license required
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation such as loaders, excavators, or concrete finishing tools is a plus
- Knowledge of construction site safety protocols and procedures
- Ability to operate equipment used in paving, concrete forming, or finishing tasks is advantageous
- Strong organizational skills to manage delivery schedules efficiently
- Excellent communication skills for coordination with project teams and site managers
