Position Available: Journeyperson Electrician
Location: CNRL Horizon, Alberta
Rotation: 14 Days On / 14 Days Off
Accommodations: Camp Provided
We are currently seeking a qualified Journeyperson Electrician to join our team in Fort McMurray, AB. This is a rotational position working 14 days on, 14 days off, with camp accommodations provided for the duration of your rotation. This position involves both electrical work and general construction duties. The role is approximately a 60/40 split — about 60% electrical work and 40% carpentry and other trade-related work (such as light plumbing).
Primary Responsibilities:
- Install 2x4 lighting fixtures
- Rough-in Lumax BX
- Build and install cable tray
- Terminate electrical panels
- Install heat trace and outdoor lighting
- Install exit signs and receptacles (fish plugs down walls)
- Assist with carpentry projects (framing, drywall, finishing, etc.)
- Assist with light plumbing tasks as required
Qualifications:
- Valid Journeyperson Electrician (Red Seal preferred) certification.
- CSO, WHMIS 2015, and other relevant safety certifications (or willingness to obtain).
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to designated pickup/drop-off point.
- Previous industrial or oil sands experience is considered an asset.
- Strong work ethic, safety-first attitude, and ability to work in a team environment.
