Division 9 Contractors Ltd. is a growing subcontractor based in British Columbia, specializing in steel stud framing, drywall installation, insulation, and acoustical ceilings. We are currently hiring skilled and reliable Steel Stud Framers to join our construction team on various commercial and institutional projects throughout the Lower Mainland.
As a Steel Stud Framer, you will be responsible for constructing interior and exterior wall systems, ceilings, bulkheads, and other framing structures in accordance with project specifications and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and construction drawings.
- Measure, cut, and install steel studs, tracks, and related framing components.
- Build walls, ceilings, soffits, and bulkheads with precision and accuracy.
- Use power tools, levels, and laser tools to ensure plumb and level installations.
- Secure framing to floors, walls, and ceilings according to building plans.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and other trades to maintain project timelines.
- Follow all site safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Keep the work area organized and ensure proper use and maintenance of tools.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 years of experience as a steel stud framer in commercial or institutional construction.
- Ability to read construction drawings and layout plans accurately.
- Strong understanding of framing techniques and construction best practices.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and proper use of PPE.
- Basic hand and power tools required.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites across the Lower Mainland preferred.
