Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Manager to lead our quality management initiatives within our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of quality control and assurance, ensuring products meet the highest standards of excellence. This role requires strong analysis skills, project management capabilities, and a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, quality inspection, and quality management systems. The Quality Assurance Manager will play a pivotal role in maintaining continuous improvement and compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality assurance policies and procedures aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Lead quality control and inspection activities to ensure products meet specified quality criteria.
- Analyze data from quality inspections and testing to identify trends, root causes, and areas for process improvement.
- Manage internal audits and coordinate external audits to ensure compliance with certifications such as ISO or other relevant standards.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to integrate quality assurance practices into daily operations.
- Lead cross-functional projects aimed at enhancing product quality, reducing defects, and optimizing manufacturing processes.
- Train and mentor staff on quality standards, inspection techniques, and best practices in QA/QC.
- Prepare detailed reports on quality metrics, non-conformance issues, and corrective actions for executive review.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through analysis skills and project management expertise.
Requirements
- Proven experience in manufacturing environments with a strong background in quality control, quality inspection, and quality assurance.
- Demonstrated analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets to inform decision-making.
- Extensive knowledge of quality management systems (QMS), QA/QC protocols, and industry standards such as ISO 9001.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across departments and with external auditors.
- Experience in implementing process improvements that enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
- Relevant certifications such as CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) or equivalent are preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
