What's the job?
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Hot Tub Service Technician - Level 4 to join our dedicated team in Oakville. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of hot tub systems, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. This position offers an opportunity to leverage advanced mechanical and electrical knowledge while providing top-tier service to our clients. The job requires someone who can maintain specific sales and service targets, while taking advanced ownership and responsibility of their van/inventory.
What are the expectations?
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex issues with all makes of hot tubs, swim spas and saunas
- Perform repairs and maintenance on all components including pumps, heaters, and control systems
- Install new components and upgrade existing systems according to manufacturer specifications
- Vast knowledge of the hot tub parts industry (Balboa, Gecko, Waterway etc)
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential problems before they escalate
- Complete scheduled maintenance and cleaning of hot tubs
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Meets and exceeds monthly service call targets and sales targets
- Maintain detailed service reports and utilization of our dispatch software to update findings after a call
- Extremely low call-back percentage to ensure single call completions
- Ensure all parts are billed out properly and regular van/shed inventory is maintained
- Ability to train others to understand the industry and complete ride-alongs
- Maintains their vehicle and is responsible for ensuring it's upkeep (scheduling oil changes etc)
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in various environments while maintaining safety standards
- Understanding of the seasonality of the business and able to work long hours/weekends
- Must have 3+ years of hot tub service experience on the road
