Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handyman/Handywoman to join our team at a prestigious high-rise construction site. As a High-Rise Handyman/Handywoman, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance, repair, and construction tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the building and its facilities. This position requires the ability to work at heights and a strong understanding of safety protocols in high-rise environments.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including painting, plumbing, electrical repairs, and carpentry work.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address maintenance needs, such as broken fixtures, leaks, or malfunctioning equipment.
- Install, repair, and maintain various systems and equipment, such as HVAC, lighting, elevators, and fire safety systems.
- Respond promptly to work orders and service requests, ensuring timely resolution of issues to minimize disruption to residents and occupants.
- Assist with general construction tasks, such as framing, drywall installation, flooring, and window repair.
- Safely operate and maintain hand and power tools, ensuring they are in good working condition.
- Adhere to safety regulations and protocols, especially when working at heights or operating heavy equipment.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, contractors, and on-site staff to coordinate tasks and ensure efficient project completion.
- Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any additional information required for reporting and billing purposes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored and secured.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Handyman/Handywoman, preferably in a high-rise construction or maintenance environment.
- Strong knowledge of building maintenance and repair techniques, including painting, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work.
- Ability to work comfortably at heights and adhere to strict safety procedures.
- Proficient in operating hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well within a team.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects.
- Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
