Rangeland Truck & Crane is seeking experienced heavy‑haul driver based out of Edmonton, specializing in over‑dimensional transport, winch‑truck operations, and specialized equipment hauling. Regular work into Fort McMurray, with occasional cross‑border runs into the United States. Skilled in navigating challenging routes, handling oversized loads, and maintaining strict safety and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate heavy‑haul and winch trucks for oversized and specialized loads across Canada and the U.S.
- Plan and execute long‑haul and cross‑border routes in compliance with DOT and Transport Canada regulations
- Secure loads using proper equipment, rigging, and techniques
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance checks
- Maintain accurate logbooks, trip reports, and border documentation
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, site personnel, and border officials
- Represent the company professionally on all job sites and roadways
Qualifications
- Valid Class 1 Driver’s License
- Clean 3‑year commercial abstract (max 3 minor convictions, 0 major)
- Minimum 3 years commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass pre‑employment, post‑incident, and random drug & alcohol testing
- Knowledge of cross‑border regulations, customs paperwork, and oversized load permitting
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic truck maintenance
- Willingness to travel extensively and work flexible schedules
- Excellent communication, situational awareness, and problem‑solving skills

Pay: $31.00-$58.00 per hour
