Lab Technician- Contract
A & L Canada Laboratories Inc. (A & L) is one of Ontario’s largest Agricultural and Environmental laboratories specializing in soil, plant tissue, fertilizer, food and water testing. A & L provides reliable, comprehensive and effective services for analytical testing. Our Environmental division provides inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, general chemistry, microbiology and pesticide analysis using state of the art technology and methodology.
A & L Canada Laboratories Inc. is currently seeking a Laboratory Technician Co-op Student to support day-to day laboratory operations. This is a hands-on role for students looking to gain practical lab experience in a professional environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with routine laboratory tests, samples and processing
- Record and organize data accurately
- Maintain a clean, safe and organized lab workspace
- Follow OHSA and A&L Health and Safety Program requirements
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a science-related co-op program (e.g. chemistry, biology, biotechnology)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent work ethic and communication skills
- Basic knowledge of lab safety practices
