Description:
Otto’s Cache is Jasper’s first locally owned café, bakery, and curated provisions market. We focus on high-quality ingredients, thoughtful preparation, and supporting local and specialty producers. We are looking for a Market Sales Padawan to join our team. This role supports the day-to-day operations of our provisions market by helping maintain a well-stocked, organised, and welcoming retail space. It’s a great position for someone who enjoys food, local products, and learning about specialty ingredients while working alongside our café and kitchen teams.
Responsibilities:

Receive, check, and organise incoming product deliveries

Stock shelves, coolers, and retail displays with strong attention to presentation and quality

Rotate products using FIFO and monitor freshness and expiry dates

Maintain a clean, organised, and visually appealing market space

Assist with packaging and labelling retail items, grab-and-go foods, and pantry products

Ensure accurate pricing and product labelling

Support merchandising and seasonal display changes

Restock baked goods, provisions, and packaged items throughout the day

Assist guests with product questions and provide recommendations

Monitor inventory levels and communicate low stock to management

Follow food safety and handling standards

Assist café and kitchen teams during busy periods when needed
Requirements:

Interest in specialty foods, local products, and curated pantry items

Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

Friendly and approachable with strong customer service skills

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced café and market environment

Ability to lift up to 25–40 lbs and assist with deliveries and stocking

Comfortable standing and moving for extended periods

Reliable, positive attitude and strong work ethic

Flexible availability including mornings, weekends, and holidays

Previous retail, grocery, or food service experience is an asset but not required
