Maple Leaf Construction is currently seeking a Seasonal Traffic Coordinator – Highway Division. Reporting to the Traffic Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating traffic logistics, including signage and barriers, to ensure safe and efficient traffic management on city streets and construction sites.
Key Responsibilities
· Collaborate with the Crew Supervisor and provide direction to employees
· Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and company policies
· Maintain and update a daily work journal
· Set up traffic control zones according to project specifications
· Install, maintain, and remove signage and traffic control devices
Qualifications and Skills
· Previous traffic coordination experience is preferred
· Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with sound decision-making ability
· Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
· Physically capable of lifting, bending, and handling signage materials
· Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
· Strong attention to detail and effective time-management skills
· Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision
· Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
· Valid Class 5 driver’s license and reliable transportation required
· Availability to work occasional weekends
