Job Summary
The Yard Labourer is responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient handling of materials and inventory within the company’s yard. This role focuses on maintaining yard organization, supporting inventory control processes, and preparing materials for installation crews. The Stock Yard Labourer works closely with the Inventory Manager and Operations Director to ensure smooth daily operations and accurate stock management. This position does not involve field installation work but plays a critical role in supporting installation teams and overall operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and organize incoming materials
- Pick and stage orders for installation crews
- Load and unload materials safely
- Maintain accurate inventory and assist with cycle counts
- Keep the yard clean, organized, and safe
- Identify and report damaged or missing materials
- Operate equipment (forklift, skid steer, etc.) if qualified
- Assist with general yard upkeep (snow removal, cleanup, organization)
Skills
- Previous yard, warehouse, or construction experience preferred
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to lift 50–75 lbs regularly
- Valid driver’s license required
- Forklift or equipment experience is an asset

Pay: $20.00 per hour
