UNITY Fitness Harbourfront (joinunity.ca), a 45,000 sq. ft. fitness facility in the heart of the Sugar Wharf community in downtown Toronto, is recruiting a full time Membership Director. This is a vacant position.
The ideal candidate will be deeply passionate about fitness and wellness, with a strong commitment to growing the facility's membership base. As Membership Director, you will oversee all strategies and initiatives related to membership sales and retention to meet the facility's revenue goals. You will lead the sales team in delivering outstanding member experiences, achieving membership targets, and creating outreach programs that attract a diverse range of community members, including corporate clients.
Roles
- Customer Service: Foster a member-centric atmosphere by delivering exceptional service to all members, guests, and staff, ensuring their needs are consistently met.
- Membership Sales: Lead and drive the sales team to execute all necessary activities and initiatives to achieve monthly membership sales goals.
- Administration: Oversee the smooth and professional operation of the Sales Department, ensuring effective management of all financials and budgets related to the department.
- Marketing and Promotion: Actively contribute to the marketing and promotional efforts of the facility, as needed, to enhance visibility and attract new members.
- Staff Supervision: Provide strong leadership, guidance, and ongoing support to the staff under your supervision, ensuring a high level of performance and motivation.
- KPI/Data tracking and analysis: Ensure proper tracking and analysis of sales data, conversion rates, sales targets, lead generation, prospect drip campaigns and all relevant data.
- Corporate Membership Sales Initiatives: Leading sales team to grow corporate sales initiatives and increase corporate memberships
- Community outreach: planning and execution of community events, member events and brand awareness. Tabling and presentations for corporate and residential outreach.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- 10+ years of experience in fitness membership sales, ideally in a facility with 3,000+ members
- Strong proficiency in budgeting and financial management
- Proven track record of successfully leading and managing sales teams
- Experience in fostering a sense of community within an organization
- Demonstrated success in customer service excellence
- University degree or college diploma in a fitness-related field is considered an asset
- Advanced proficiency in membership databases, social media, digital tools, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Compensation: Base Salary of $40,000, plus performance pay and commission with the potential earning of $82,000 annually.
