The ideal candidate is able to stay organized and maintain their attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be physically fit, as the position requires unloading shipments and moving inventory between the warehouse and production floor. Good computer skills are also necessary, as they will have to work with an ERP system and Microsoft Office programs.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Complying with company quality, safety and production policies and procedures
- Loading/unloading truck
- Moving material to/from warehouse using forklift or pallet jack
- Prepares receiving area and unloads shipment
- Inspects received items for shipping damage, including visual inspection of goods, reviews any damaged goods with driver, takes pictures of damage, reports damage to internal stakeholders, follows RMA procedures
- Checks receiving quantities against purchase orders, makes note of any discrepancies and reports to internal stakeholders
- Receives purchase order in INFOR (ERP system)
- Organizes and maintains packing slips, purchase orders, and any other documentation for Accounts Payable and/or Buyers
- Records & controls the movement of parts, supplies and materials to and from the warehouse both physically and in INFOR
- Assists in inventory management, cycle counts, workstation replenishment and receiving in when necessary
- As required
Qualified candidates must possess:
- Valid Class 1 forklift certificate required
- At least 2 years of forklift driving experience required (Candidates will also go through a practical forklift test when they come in for an interview)
- Some receiving experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry
- Full-time availability (Monday to Thursday - 6:00 am to 4:30 pm)
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Exceptional organizational skills, able to prioritize, detail oriented
- Good computer skills (ERP, Microsoft Office)
- Proficient communication skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Great attendance and professionalism
