Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Solar PV / Glazing Installer for a short-term contract to join our dynamic installation team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing photovoltaic solar panels and glazing systems on a commercial project. Your expertise will help us deliver high-quality renewable energy solutions efficiently and safely. Responsibilities
- Install solar PV panels, racking, and mounting hardware as part of a pergola structure
- Install glazing components as part of the structure
- Work safely at height, following fall protection protocols
- Coordinate with the site crew and project lead to meet the installation schedule
- Ensure work meets code and manufacturer specifications
Requirements
- Experience installing solar PV systems (racking, panels, wiring)
- Experience with glazing installation
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively to assemble, secure, and finish glazing and PV components.
- Valid fall protection / working at heights certification
- Comfortable working on an active downtown Ottawa job site
- Ottawa-based or able to work locally without travel support preferred
- Reliability Status security clearance preferred — this is a federal government building. Impact Energy can sponsor clearance processing for the right candidate given the project timeline, though this may extend onboarding.

Pay: $50.00-$75.00 per hour
