POSITION SUMMARY Recruiter (3 - 6 Month Contract)
Fuji Semec Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Contract Recruiter to support our recruitment activities during a period of increased hiring demand. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Recruiter will manage full-cycle recruitment for a variety of technical, professional, manufacturing, and administrative positions across our Canadian and U.S. operations.
This is a temporary 3 to 6 month contract position focused on sourcing, screening, coordinating interviews, and helping hiring managers secure top talent in a timely and efficient manner.
Key ResponsibilitiesRecruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for assigned positions, from requisition intake to offer stage.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing requirements, qualifications, and hiring timelines.
- Create and post job advertisements on various recruitment platforms.
- Source candidates through LinkedIn, job boards, referrals, networking, and direct outreach.
- Conduct resume reviews and initial candidate screenings.
- Complete phone, in-person and virtual interviews to assess qualifications, experience, and cultural fit.
- Present qualified candidates and recommendations to hiring managers.
- Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring teams.
- Conduct reference checks as required.
- Support offer preparation and candidate communication throughout the recruitment process.
- Maintain a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
Recruitment Administration
- Ensure applicant tracking systems, recruitment records, and candidate files are maintained accurately.
- Track recruitment metrics including time-to-fill, candidate sources, and interview activity.
- Maintain compliance with applicable employment legislation and company policies.
- Assist with employment agreements and onboarding coordination when required.
- Support recruitment-related reporting and documentation.
Employer Branding & Process Improvement
- Promote the company's employer brand through professional candidate interactions.
- Recommend improvements to recruitment processes, sourcing strategies, and candidate experience.
- Assist with recruitment projects and workforce planning initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications
Education
- Diploma degree in Human Resources, or a related field preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of recruitment or talent acquisition experience.
- Experience recruiting for manufacturing, engineering, technical, or industrial positions is considered an asset.
- Experience managing multiple requisitions simultaneously.
- Experience with Indeed and major job boards preferred.
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong interviewing and candidate assessment skills.
- Excellent sourcing and networking capabilities.
- Ability to build relationships with hiring managers and candidates.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and French.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
