General Job Description
This position reports to the PC Assistant Manager
This position is responsible for planning and controlling inventory for Stratford
Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan & release orders and forecast to suppliers and ensure smooth supply of materials by managing inventory levels and coordination with suppliers to meet production schedules without overstocking
- Track supplier delivery performance
- Manage relationships with suppliers by confirming purchase orders and addressing any issues
- Support with build out / build up within TG to ensure smooth transitions and avoid overstocking both prior and ending programs
- ECI tracking & control working with supplier and providing runouts
- Perform supplier container and master label audits to ensure compliance with SQAM
- Daily backorder report checks and follow up with suppliers and receiving
- Cycle counts program support to ensure inventory accuracy, includes materials, WIP & FG
- Component FIFO verification with receiving
- Monitor inventory transactions in JDE and maintain JDE for new parts or changes
- Monitor monthly inventory turn reports
- Monitor daily inventory both negative and overstocked both FG & Materials
- Work with receiving/launch specialist on rack layout/space for new programs
- Print component kanban as per repack proposal and TPS sheet
- Problem Solving - Proactively identify and resolve potential disruptions with suppliers. Analyze data, identify risks and develop solutions.
- Collaboration – Work with internal teams to ensure efficient communication and process alignment
- Physical inventory support
- Will be required to support other areas of PC as needed
- TG Minto may amend the reporting structure and/or duties and responsibilities as business needs require
- Job must be performed within H&S guidelines
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education or 1-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to create and monitor spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to understand and control inventory control systems, specifically JD Edwards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills
- Must have an excellent attendance record
- Must be able to prioritize work
Compensation and Benefits
- Starting wage starts at $27.00 /hr
- Paid overtime after 40/hours per week
