Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Millwright / Journeyman to join our Service team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and installing and maintaining machinery and equipment to ensure optimal operational efficiency. This role requires strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills, with a focus on industrial maintenance within a manufacturing environment. The position offers an opportunity to work on complex systems, including programmable logic controllers and low voltage electrical systems, contributing to the continuous improvement of plant operations.
Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machinery and equipment in accordance with schematics and technical manuals.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals related to mechanical and electrical systems.
- Diagnose issues involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, HVAC units, boilers, and other industrial equipment.
- Conduct mechanical repairs, and adjustments as needed to ensure machinery operates safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with other maintenance team members and plant personnel to coordinate repairs and upgrades.
- Maintain safety standards by adhering to OSHA regulations and company policies during all maintenance activities.
- Assist in training new team members or apprentices as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Millwright or Industrial Electrician with a Journeyman certification preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in industrial maintenance within manufacturing settings.
- Familiarity with schematics, wiring diagrams, PLCs, boilers, welding techniques, low voltage electrical systems, and electrical troubleshooting.
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately.
- Excellent analysis skills for diagnosing complex machinery issues quickly and effectively.
- Good communication skills in English for clear documentation and teamwork.
- Experience working with industrial equipment such as Engine Lathes, CNC Lathes, Boring Mills, Drill Presses, and alike.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards. Pay: $65,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
