Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server/Cashier to join our dynamic restaurant team. Duties
- Take customer orders accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS and process payments with cash handling expertise.
- Prepare and serve food items according to safety and sanitation standards, ensuring proper food handling and food safety protocols are followed.
- Provide attentive customer service by answering questions about menu items, upselling specials, and ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, workstations, and kitchen equipment in compliance with sanitation standards.
- Manage multiple tables efficiently through effective time management and organization skills.
- Assist in food preparation as needed, supporting kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
- Handle cash register operations, including balancing cash drawers at the end of shifts with basic math skills.
- Promote a welcoming atmosphere by engaging with guests professionally and courteously.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or the food industry is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is advantageous.
- Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on hospitality and communication.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Basic math skills for processing payments and giving correct change.
- Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures.
- Excellent time management skills to balance serving multiple tables or customers simultaneously.
- Kitchen experience or restaurant background is a plus but not mandatory; enthusiasm for working in the food industry is essential.
