Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport food orders to customers within designated areas
- Ensure timely delivery of all orders, maintaining high standards of accuracy and professionalism
- Handle food with care, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards during transportation
- Verify orders for accuracy before departure and upon delivery
- Communicate effectively with customers, providing friendly and professional service
- Assist with food preparation or meal assembly when required, supporting kitchen staff as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicle and equipment
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies during deliveries
Skills
- Proven experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments is preferred
- Knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and sanitation standards
- Strong serving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
- Ability to handle food preparation and cooking tasks when necessary
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to navigate efficiently using GPS or maps
- Good communication skills and a friendly demeanor
- Physical ability to lift and carry food orders safely, often over extended periods
