Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Long Haul Class 1 Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating heavy-duty trucks over long distances, ensuring timely delivery of freight across regions. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, adherence to regulations, and excellent driving skills. The driver will also be involved in handling freight, operating heavy equipment, and performing basic automotive repairs when necessary to maintain optimal vehicle performance.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 1 commercial trucks over long-distance routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Transport freight efficiently and securely across designated routes, ensuring timely deliveries
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance issues or safety concerns
- Assist with freight handling, including securing loads and verifying shipment accuracy
- Perform basic automotive repairs and troubleshooting to maintain vehicle functionality during trips
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, fuel consumption, and delivery documentation
- Must seal the trailer after loading each freght inside and send sealed trailer pictures before departure with load secured pictures before sealing the trailer
- Follow company policies on safety procedures and compliance standards at all times
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 commercial driver’s license (CDL) with clean driving record
- Must have a USA visa or citizen to cross border in USA
- Proven experience in commercial driving, especially long-haul routes
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation, forklift operation, and freight handling procedures
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs and troubleshooting skills preferred
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards for commercial drivers
- Physical ability to load/unload freight and operate heavy equipment as required
- Excellent navigation skills with the ability to plan efficient routes
- Ability to work independently for extended periods during long-distance trips
- Prior experience with automotive repair or maintenance is a plus
Pay: $84,000.00-$96,000.00 per year
