Role Overview – Automotive Technician
The Automotive Technician is a core production role and a critical part of our shop’s success.
This position requires technical competence, discipline, accountability, and pride in workmanship.
This is not an entry-level role and not a temporary or stepping-stone position.
We are building long-term technicians, not short-term help.
Selection & Evaluation Process
Shortlisted candidates will be required to complete a 3-day unpaid evaluation/training period.
This evaluation is used to assess:
- Technical skill level and mechanical accuracy
- Diagnostic thinking and problem-solving
- Workflow efficiency and time management
- Ability to follow procedures and shop standards
- Professional conduct, attitude, and coachability
Only candidates who meet our standards will receive a formal job offer and 10-year employment contract.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform automotive repairs accurately and efficiently
- Complete inspections and report findings honestly
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
- Perform brakes, suspension, steering, and maintenance services
- Follow torque specs, safety procedures, and shop standards
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and tools
- Communicate clearly with Service Advisors and management
- Take ownership of repair quality and comebacks
- Meet or exceed productivity and quality expectations

Requirements
- Permanent authorization to work in Canada (no expiry)
- Willingness to sign a 10-year employment contract
- Proven automotive repair experience
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Own basic hand tools (shop provides specialty tools)
- Strong work ethic and professional attitude
