Job Description: We are looking for a dedicated Cook to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals that meet the high standards of our guests. The Cook will work closely with kitchen staff to ensure all meals are prepared with attention to detail and in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with recipes and quality standards.
- Ensure all food preparation meets health and safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new menu items and specials.
- Adhere to portion control guidelines.
- Ensure presentation of food is appealing.
Shift Schedule:
- Cross shift: Approximately 10-hour days.
- Rotation: 2 weeks on, 1 week off.
- One week on days, followed by one week on nights.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Cook in a similar setting, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
- Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and equipment.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in effective communication.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Food Safe Certification or equivalent is an asset.
- English Required.
