We are Doggy Land! A daycare, training, and grooming center all in one. We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional grooming services. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for ensuring that pets look their best while also prioritizing their comfort and well-being. This role requires both technical grooming skills and strong customer service abilities to build lasting relationships with pet owners.
Duties
- Perform grooming services including bathing, cutting, and styling fur according to breed standards or customer preferences.
- Handle pets with care, ensuring their safety and comfort during the grooming process.
- Maintain cleanliness of the grooming area, including tools and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding grooming options, pet care tips, and any observed health concerns.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and building rapport with both pets and their owners.
- Assist in lifting larger pets as needed, ensuring proper techniques are used for safety.
Requirements
- Previous experience in pet grooming is required
- Strong customer service skills to foster positive relationships with clients.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger breeds or equipment.
- Knowledge of various dog breeds and their specific grooming needs is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- A compassionate attitude towards animals, ensuring their comfort throughout the grooming process.
