Job Overview
We are seeking a Shipper/Receiver to join our team. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth flow of goods in and out of our facility.The ideal candidate will have experience with warehouse distribution, counterbalance forklift experience and shipping & receiving processes, contributing to efficient order fulfillment and inventory management.
Duties
- Review shipping/receiving schedule(s) and/or other paperwork as required.
- Prepare outgoing shipments based on schedule.
- Verify accuracy of incoming shipments (refer to order paperwork, bill of lading, etc.).
- Complete carrier paperwork (as required).
- Identify outgoing/incoming materials based on: type, colour, product ID, customer/supplier name, PO number, and/or other information.
- Move materials to appropriate storage/holding area (as applicable).
- Construct the following types of packaging: wood crates/skids, Gaylords, Buggies, Cradles, Boxes, Bags, Spools and/or Other packaging as required.
- Inspect packaging on all outgoing/incoming shipments for accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure all shipping, receiving and storage areas are maintained in good condition.
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory of work related materials and equipment (as required).
- Record all inventory-related information as necessary.
- Place finished goods in proper storage location.
- Load/unload transport trucks
- Operate material handling equipment in a safe and professional manner.
- Ensure trucks/trailers are properly docked and chocked before entering.
- Ensure shipments are properly secured before leaving the premises.
- Ensure all containers are properly labeled
- Ensure recyclable materials are processed in-house whenever possible.
- Maintain level of quality consistent with established standards.
- Comply with established safety rules, policies and procedures.
- Maintain constructive working relationships with co-workers, supervisors and managers.
- Maintain regular attendance in accordance with company policy.
- Other duties as required.
Job Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
- 3-5 years’ Lift Truck operating experience in a manufacturing facility
- Ability to read, write, understand and communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs / 23 kgs.
- Health, safety, and environmental knowledge.
- Possess valid Lift Truck Operator’s certificate (including TSSA Propane Handling ROT).

Pay: $21.00 per hour

- Shipping & receiving: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Counterbalance Forklift License (required)
