Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Automotive Service Advisor to join our team. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for customers seeking automotive repair and maintenance services. Your expertise in automotive repair and exceptional customer service skills will ensure that our clients receive the best possible experience while their vehicles are serviced. You will play a crucial role in upselling services and maintaining strong relationships with customers, contributing to the overall success of our dealership.
Duties
- Greet customers promptly and professionally, assessing their automotive service needs.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle issues, service recommendations, and repair timelines.
- Provide accurate estimates for repairs and services while promoting additional services through upselling techniques.
- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, service requests, and vehicle history.
- Collaborate with mechanics and technicians to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of services.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments for services rendered.
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of automotive repair processes and mechanical systems.
- Proven experience in customer service, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Excellent upselling skills to promote additional services effectively.
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and financial transactions.
- Previous experience working in a dealership environment is preferred.
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly to customers without mechanical knowledge.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Costar software.
