About the Role:

Join our Production Department as a Maintenance Technician, where you'll play a key role in keeping our plant running smoothly. You’ll be responsible for maintaining equipment, performing repairs, and helping ensure that production, quality, and safety standards are consistently met. This is a hands-on role with opportunities to work across mechanical, electrical, and structural maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on plant equipment and facilities in areas such as carpentry, mechanical, pneumatics, and electrical.
Conduct scheduled inspections to prevent equipment breakdowns and ensure continuous production.
Test, troubleshoot, and repair machinery and equipment.
Assist with machine and tooling improvements, as well as mechanical and electrical plant upgrades.
Collaborate with the Engineering Department to improve machinery availability and effectiveness.
Participate in root cause analysis and reliability improvement projects.
Support process improvement initiatives and project implementation.
Provide 24-hour emergency maintenance service as needed.
Perform additional duties as required.

Requirements:

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Experience in mechanical, electrical, or general maintenance (Certified Millwright is an asset but not required).
Knowledge of electronics, mechanics, pneumatics, and structural maintenance.
Experience with machine assembly, installations, bearings, and alignment techniques.
Proficiency with computers and MS Office; knowledge of CNC, AutoCAD, or 3D visualization software is a plus.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks.
Team-oriented, self-motivated, and adaptable to a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of safety protocols and imperial/metric measurement systems.

Working Conditions:

Physically active role: ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work at heights, and operate tools.
Exposure to dust, noise, and varying temperatures.
Overtime may be required.
