The Senior Enterprise Architect owns the end-to-end target-state architecture for the enterprise's core data migration, identity clustering, and advanced search ecosystems. Serving as a trusted technical advisor, this role defines foundational architectural patterns, governs cross-stream service design, and ensures strict alignment with macro enterprise architecture principles. Preference for expertise on AWS Platform.
The ideal candidate brings a masterful blend of legacy modernization expertise (Mainframe to AWS Cloud) and modern data capability design (Identity Resolution and OpenSearch), alongside a proven track record of leading regional cloud, DevOps, and organizational transformations. . The Solution Architect will be a guiding force on the team as they create and document platform, application and technology standards and roadmaps for the team. This role will require a high level of creativity, problem solving, and communication skills.
Implementation Project Context
This role is part of a large, multi-year enterprise implementation focused on establishing a modern, scalable foundation for identity resolution and advanced search capabilities. The program introduces a new architectural approach to unify, reconcile, and search customer and organizational data across systems, replacing fragmented legacy patterns with a coherent, service-oriented and cloud-native design. The architecture defined in this stream underpins critical platform capabilities and directly influences data accuracy, system interoperability, and user trust.
This role provides technical leadership to senior engineers, balances near-term delivery needs with long-term architectural integrity, and ensures solutions are scalable, performant, and reusable. While initially assigned to this flagship program, the architectural patterns, service designs, and governance models established are intended to become foundational assets reused across future transformation initiatives, positioning this role as a key shaper of the consulting practice's long-term architecture capability.
The program is systematically replacing tightly coupled, fragmented legacy patterns with a coherent, service-oriented, cloud-native, and API-first architecture. The program operates across two critical, intersecting technical backbones:
. Legacy Data Redirection & Middleware: Orchestrating the extraction of data from mainframe environments (COBOL, PL/I, CICS, DB2, JCL) via modified batch modules and IBM MQ, routed through IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE / IBM Ace) ESB services and robust REST APIs.
. Identity Resolution & Search: Unifying and reconciling disparate data streams into a highly scalable framework for identity clustering, matching services (Python-based), and advanced enterprise search capabilities utilizing OpenSearch-based indexing and query patterns.
Operating at the highest tier of technical leadership, the Senior Enterprise Architect balances near-term migration delivery milestones with long-term architectural integrity, scalability, and data security. The architectural blueprints, governance models, and messaging contracts established in this stream will serve as foundational, reusable assets across all future corporate transformation initiatives, positioning this role as a key shaper of the organization's long-term enterprise architecture capability.
