WeArt Culture Center, located in Markham is a federally registered non-profit art organization. Adhere to the philosophy of professionality and openness, WeArt is building visual art educational platform, serving local and Chinese background students and artists. With Class A art studio faculty and cooperative resources, WeArt help youths and students to applying public school art programs, top private schools, and art majors in universities. Our programs meet the diverse demands in several stages, such as youth art enlightenment, youth art development/university education, and professional visual artists.
We are currently seeking talented and passionate art teacher to join our team. As an art teacher, you will have the opportunity to inspire and educate students in various art forms, including drawing, painting, sculpturing, and more. You will help students develop their creativity and artistic skills while encouraging them to express themselves through art.
Job Overview
We are hiring visual art instructor- assist students to plan/prepare art portfolio for high school and university application, including the following four directions:
1) Sculpture
2) Industrial Design
3) Video Editing
4) Animation
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging art lessons based on the subject provided by the art program director
- Assist students to finish their artwork in the class based on teacher's instruction
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to plan/execute art activities and exhibition
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity and self-expression
- Provide instruction for students to achieve art portfolio for AP or university application
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in art education or a related field (required)
- Proficient in a variety of art skills and techniques. (e.g. sketching, drawing, watercolor, painting, and sculpture.)
- Strong portfolio of personal artwork
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with students.
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans and provide constructive feedback to students
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students
- Any related teaching experience will be considered an asset
- Techer with CQR is preferred
