This Volunteer Placement is Located in: Lalo, Kouffo, Benin

Start Date: September 2026

Placement Length: 5 months

Language Requirements: French

The Volunteer’s Role

Join us as a Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) Advisor and become a key player in change at GRASID! In this dynamic role, you will have the incredible opportunity to enhance our ability to measure impact and drive positive change in communities across Benin. Working closely with our passionate team, you will be at the forefront of fostering a vibrant culture of evidence-based learning and decision-making.

Imagine implementing innovative systems and tools that allow GRASID to track results, celebrate successes, and adapt projects in real time! This exciting volunteer opportunity is perfect for a motivated professional eager to share their expertise while building effective partnerships and championing sustainable development outcomes. Join us to make a lasting difference!

As a volunteer, you will conduct the following activities:

Conduct an assessment and identify GRASID's needs in terms of monitoring, evaluation, capitalization and learning
Support the implementation or updating of the framework, measurement plan, evaluation and learning (ELL)
Develop data collection, management and analysis tools adapted to the needs of GRASID-ONG
Train staff in the collection, analysis, interpretation and use of data
Contribute to capitalizing on results, documenting good practices and lessons learned.

Essential Qualifications:

Degree in project management, management, international/community development, program evaluation or any other relevant field (university level)

Essential Background:

At least three years of work experience in project management;
Experience in capacity building;
Ability to work with limited resources and as a team member;

Volunteer Support and Requirements

Support Package

Cuso International provides a comprehensive support package to ensure volunteers maintain a modest and healthy lifestyle aligned with local standards. This includes:

Monthly living allowance
Accommodation
Health insurance (including required vaccinations and antimalarial medication)
Round-trip airfare and visa/work permit costs
Pre-placement, in-country and reintegration training (along with access to self-directed materials and online resources)
Ongoing local support
Access to the Employee Assistance Program during and after placement

Selection and Screening

If you are shortlisted, you will need to:

Confirm passport or permanent resident details for travel
Provide two professional references and one personal reference
Complete a language assessment during the initial phone interview
Pass a police check and medical clearance before departure
Comply with anti-terrorism checks
Agree to uphold the policy and
