Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable DZ and Boom Lift Driver to join our team, supporting landscape and construction projects. This person must be a permanent resident in Canada and legally allowed to work in Canada. This position for the right candidate, will transition into each year as a dedicated role starting March/April to December each calendar year. This role involves operating heavy equipment, including boom lifts and forklifts, as well as performing landscape labor tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving and equipment operation, with a focus on safety and efficiency. A valid DZ licence , clean CVOR with certification for Boom Lift operation is a must. The candidate will also be expected to handle freight of interlocking bricks, aggrigates and participate in landscaping duties. Being physically able to perform physical labour is a must for this job.
Training is available as required for landscaping skills but you must have a valid licence for DZ and Boom Lift.
Hours on an average day can vary. Starting from 7/8 am to 8/9pm depending on the requirements of materials and deliveries from Monday to Saturday.
This role requires the candidate to pick up and deliver interlocking, aggregates, soils and more to the jobsites and homeowners.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate boom lifts, forklifts, and other heavy equipment to facilitate landscaping and construction activities
- Transport materials and tools to various job sites using commercial driving skills
- Assist with landscape labor tasks such as planting, grading, and site cleanup
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations during equipment operation and manual labor tasks
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively
Skills
- Valid DZ license with clean driving record (CVOR)
- Experience operating boom lifts and certification to do so
- forklifts, and other heavy machinery a bonus!
- Knowledge of freight handling and commercial driving regulations
- Basic automotive repair skills are a plus for troubleshooting equipment issues
- Ability to perform physical labor including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods, 50+ pounds lifting, landscaping an asset
- Strong attention to safety procedures and detail-oriented approach
- Good communication skills in clear English and ability to work well within a team
- Working in all weather conditions

Pay: $22.00-$30.00 per hour
