POSITION OVERVIEW
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Commercial Roofing Superintendent to oversee roofing and sheet metal projects from start to finish. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining strong customer relationships and supporting overall project profitability.
The successful candidate will supervise field crews, coordinate daily operations, manage schedules and resources, and provide hands-on support when required. This position requires a proactive leader who can effectively balance project demands, team performance, and client expectations in a fast-paced commercial roofing environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and oversee daily site operations for roofing and sheet metal
- Schedule and dispatch crews, manage workflow, track job costs, and ensure projects stay on budget
- Manage site documentation including daily logs, timesheets, and material tracking
- Manage foremen, crews, and subcontractors to ensure strong performance and accountability
- Conduct pre-start site inspections and verify field measurements to ensure accurate project planning and execution
- Maintain strong communication with customers, crews, production teams, and management
- Enforce all health and safety policies and procedures on site
- Maintain high-quality installations across all roofing systems
- Coordinate material deliveries, equipment, and site logistics to avoid delays
- Proactively identify jobsite challenges and resolve issues before they impact the schedule
- Attend and participate in site meetings, inspections, deficiency reviews, and turnover coordination
- Stay current on roofing systems, materials, codes, and industry best practices
- Overlooking and help maintain fleet of vehicles
DAILY TASKS
- Meet with our crews to plan the day’s work
- Visit job sites to ensure quality and safety
- Check and respond to emails from general contractors
- Handle customer calls, perform roof inspections, and sell service agreements/repairs
- Coordinate material orders and equipment needs
- Review time sheets, job costs, and invoices
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of commercial roofing experience
- Experience as a Superintendent (Preferable)
- Strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems: TPO, PVC, EPDM, Modified Bitumen, BUR, Metal, etc.
- Ability to read blueprints and understand specifications
- Strong leadership and accountability skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Good oral and written communication skills. Ability to effectively present information one-on-one to clients, consultants, and other employees within the company as needed
- Computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Valid driver’s license
- Fluent in English
