Position Title: Housekeeping Attendant
Schedule: On-Call & Weekends
Compensation: $24/hr
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeping Attendant to provide on-call and weekend support across residential, hospitality, and care-focused environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming spaces while upholding high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and customer service. Experience in hospitality is required, with healthcare or long-term care experience considered an asset.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning and housekeeping duties in resident rooms, common areas, offices, washrooms, and other assigned spaces.
- Clean, disinfect, and sanitize surfaces in accordance with established health and safety standards.
- Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, and remove waste and recyclables.
- Restock housekeeping and hygiene supplies as needed.
- Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or supply shortages promptly.
- Follow infection prevention and control protocols and workplace safety procedures.
- Respond to urgent cleaning requests during on-call shifts.
- Maintain professionalism and respect when interacting with residents, clients, visitors, and team members.
Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping experience in hospitality or similar environments.
- Experience working in healthcare, long-term care, retirement communities, or other care settings is considered an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, flexible, and able to adapt to changing priorities.
Requirements
- Availability for on-call shifts, including weekends.
- Reliable vehicle and ability to travel to assigned work locations.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying housekeeping supplies and equipment.
