Overview
We are seeking dedicated and reliable Warehouse Workers to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for various tasks that support the efficient operation of our warehouse. Ideal candidates should have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Position Summary:
We are looking for an energetic and detail-focused Packer to join our production team. The Packer will be responsible for carefully packaging dried floral decor items and ensuring that they are prepared for shipment in perfect condition. This is a hands-on role where you will play a vital part in the final stage of the production process.
Key Responsibilities:
Packing
1. Pack dried floral products according to specific packaging guidelines.
2. Inspect products for quality, making sure all items meet standards.
3. Handle delicate dried florals with care to avoid damage during packing.
4. Secure packages for shipping, including labeling and sealing.
5. Maintain inventory of packing materials and report any shortages.
6. Work closely with other team members to meet daily packing goals.
7. Ensure that the packing station remains clean, organized, and efficient.
8. Assist in maintaining stock levels of packing materials.
9. Follow safety protocols and contribute to a positive work environment.
Warehouse
10. Locate materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies from pick lists.
11. Maintain inventory by identifying, labelling and placing materials and supplies in stock, recording the location of all inventory.
12. Document materials and supplies disposition by recording units delivered and location of units.
13. Receive return material and supplies from production by verifying materials, supply codes and lot number, along with quantity and placing materials back in stock.
14. Prepare finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading and securing all product.
15. Maintain material handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections of equipment.
16. Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements.
17. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with policies, procedures, rules and recommendations.
18. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as required.
19. Maintain open communication with General Manager of Operations.
20. Perform other duties as required based on production needs and requirements.
Experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with operating forklifts and other warehouse machinery is advantageous.
- Mechanical knowledge is a plus, particularly in understanding how to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the shift.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.
