Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Fence Installer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing various types of fences, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency on every project. This role requires a strong understanding of construction principles, excellent craftsmanship, and the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics. The Fence Installer will work closely with team members to deliver durable fencing solutions that meet client specifications and industry standards.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to determine fencing layouts and specifications.
- Prepare work sites by clearing areas, setting up necessary tools, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Measure and mark fence lines accurately using hand tools such as tape measures, levels, and chalk lines.
- Install fence posts using concrete forming techniques and operate heavy equipment when necessary for post setting.
- Use hand tools and power tools to assemble fencing panels, gates, and related components.
- Ensure proper alignment, levelness, and stability of fences during installation.
- Apply caulking or sealants as needed to ensure weatherproofing and durability.
- Operate machinery such as post drivers or augers safely and efficiently.
- Complete projects within designated timelines while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Clean up work areas upon project completion, ensuring safety and site organization.
Experience
- Prior experience in construction, carpentry, or fencing installation is preferred.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction estimating is advantageous.
- Familiarity with hand tools like hammers, saws, levels; power tools including drills and saws; concrete forming; masonry; welding; electrical experience; plumbing; flooring installation; tile laying; cabinetry; restoration; construction painting; concrete finishing; heavy equipment operation; and other related skills is a plus.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings such as schematics or blueprints accurately.
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on safety standards throughout all phases of installation. This position offers an opportunity to develop a broad skill set within the construction industry while contributing to high-quality fencing projects that serve residential or commercial clients.
