BUILD your future with us!
At Habitat for Humanity Newfoundland and Labrador ReStore, every item donated, every purchase made, and every volunteer hour contributed helps build affordable housing opportunities for families across our province. By giving quality items a second life, we also help keep thousands of usable goods out of landfill every year. It’s retail with a purpose — where community impact and environmental sustainability come together every single day.
The Role
The ReStore Driver & Donation Ambassador is responsible for the day-to-day coordination and execution of residential and commercial donation pickups for Habitat for Humanity Newfoundland and Labrador's ReStore operations. This role serves as the primary point of contact between Habitat and many of our donors, helping ensure every interaction reflects the professionalism, values, and mission of the organization.
This position is highly independent and combines logistics, customer service, communication, and physical work. The Driver & Donation Ambassador is responsible for coordinating pickup schedules, communicating with donors, evaluating donations for suitability, safely operating ReStore vehicles, and adapting to changing priorities throughout the day.
While driving and material handling are important components of the role, success in this position is driven primarily by strong communication skills, sound judgment, excellent customer service, and the ability to work independently. The Driver & Donation Ambassador is expected to take ownership of their route, manage donor relationships professionally, and represent Habitat for Humanity Newfoundland and Labrador positively throughout the community.
This position also plays a key role in supporting waste reduction efforts by diverting quality reusable items from landfill and helping generate revenue that supports Habitat for Humanity's affordable housing mission.
