We are looking for a confident, curious, and highly personable business developer who enjoys opening doors, starting conversations, and turning relationships into meaningful project opportunities. This is a hands-on business development role where outbound outreach, networking, referrals, industry events, and disciplined follow-up will be central to your success.
You will be energized by the pursuit, but you will not treat relationships transactionally. Relationships and Projects in our world can take weeks, months, or years to develop, so credibility, patience, persistence, and trust matter as much as activity. You will ask intelligent questions, uncover needs, and bring Enginuity’s project leaders into the conversation at the right time.
An engineering degree or previous engineering, architectural, or construction experience is not a requirement to perform well. You will have the support of senior leadership and experienced project and technical staff throughout the sales cycle. Warm introductions, established market relationships, marketing support, case studies, and a broad base of project experience will help you build momentum, while you retain significant autonomy to shape your approach, target markets, and strategic relationships.
Who We Are
Enginuity is an integrated industrial facility delivery partner supporting industrial owners, operators, and design-build contractors. We help clients define, coordinate, design, and deliver facility relocations, expansions, tenant improvements, upgrades, and new industrial plants and facilities.
Our role is to bring project development, delivery leadership, and multidisciplinary technical and design resources together so projects can move from early uncertainty toward execution.
What You’ll Do
- Generate New Business – you create new opportunities through networking, prospecting, referrals, cold outreach, LinkedIn, market research, industry events, and direct prospecting.
- Build Relationships – with industrial owners and operators, design-build contractors, industrial real estate professionals, and other strategic partners
- Identify Early Indicators for Enginuity Services – relocations, expansions, tenant improvements, utility upgrades, or new greenfield facility projects
- Lead Initial Discovery Conversations – understand the Client’s drivers and needs and leverage Enginuity’s project and technical leaders for deeper discussions
- Drive the Sales Process – own opportunities through the sales cycle and relationship development and tracking through our CRM
- Represent Enginuity – at client meetings, presentations, networking functions, and events.
What You Bring
- 3–5+ years of demonstrated success in consultative sales, B2B business development, client development, or another relationship-driven role, including prospecting, building networks, opening accounts, and generating opportunities.
- Natural confidence and energy, balanced with curiosity, good judgement, and a genuine interest in helping clients.
- Comfort with networking, outreach, presentations, and asking questions
- The persistence and organization to manage long sales cycles without becoming overly transactional or “salesy”
- Self-driven and highly organized
- Working knowledge of CRM-based pipeline management; HubSpot experience is an asset
- A valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle
- Experience in construction, industrial real estate, professional services, or other applicable relationship-based environment would be an asset
Compensation
Compensation: $95,000–$105,000/year base salary based on experience and demonstrated sales performance, plus uncapped performance‑based commission (Estimated values to be discussed in interview)
