Overview
First Choice Motors is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Automotive Bookkeeper to join our growing team.
We are looking for an organized and reliable professional who can confidently manage the day-to-day accounting functions of a high-volume automotive dealership. The ideal candidate is proactive, accurate, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
Previous automotive dealership accounting experience and proficiency with QuickBooks Online are considered strong assets.
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily bookkeeping and accounting activities
- Record and reconcile bank and credit card transactions
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Reconcile vehicle purchases and sales transactions
- Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger accounts
- Assist with payroll preparation and payroll reconciliation
- Prepare HST remittances and government filings
- Reconcile supplier statements and dealership accounts
- Assist with month-end and year-end financial reporting
- Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation
- Work closely with management to ensure financial accuracy and compliance
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Previous automotive dealership accounting experience is considered a strong asset
- Strong knowledge of QuickBooks Online
- Excellent understanding of bookkeeping principles and financial reporting
- Experience with payroll, HST, and bank reconciliations
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality

Compensation:
Salary is based on experience, qualifications, and industry knowledge.
In addition to a competitive salary, this position is eligible for a monthly performance bonus based on key performance indicators, including:
- Accuracy of bookkeeping and financial records
- Timely completion of daily, weekly, and monthly responsibilities
- Organization and completeness of vehicle files and accounting records
- Payroll and HST submissions completed accurately and on time
- Timely processing and filing of invoices, purchase orders, and accounting documents
- Efficiency, reliability, and overall contribution to the accounting department

Applicants with previous automotive dealership bookkeeping or accounting experience will be given preference.
Pay: $65,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
