This position is responsible for providing administrative support to the College Facilities and Infrastructure department – specifically Transportation, Maintenance, Caretaking, Grounds and Security. This position is a liaison between the department and other internal departments and external companies and partners. This position is a backup to the Administrative Assistant to the Director, Facilities & Infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Maintaining a computerized maintenance work order system and a computerized key management system.

Receive and assign work orders to appropriate department personnel;

Monitor progress on assigned work orders; and

Respond to inquiries from requestors.

Compiling data for preparing chargebacks, financial and other reports, requisitions, purchase orders and expense reports for entry into PeopleSoft.

Manage vehicle bookings.

Assist management staff with time sheets and relevant recordkeeping.

Assist in developing / clarifying policies and procedures for the department.

Job Requirements

Minimum one year of college education in a related field, two years preferred

Knowledge of Microsoft Office – Word, Excel and Outlook

Knowledge in computerized maintenance software and spreadsheet applications an asset

Knowledge of budget processes an asset

Knowledge of PeopleSoft an asset

Strong customer service and interpersonal skills; ability to remain composed with dealing with emergency situations

Organizational and problem-solving skills

Written and verbal communication skills

Ability to assess, and respond to, urgency of inquiries and work orders

Additional Information

This is an AUPE Full-time Temporary 18-month position, with a salary range of $46,055 to $58,039/annum. This position is based out of the Vermilion campus. We’ll begin reviewing applications the week of June 29, 2026, and will continue until the position is filled.
