MOLD DESIGNER / SURFACER (NX SOFTWARE)
Platinum Direct Hire Inc. has an opportunity for A Mold Designer & Surfacer, in the Windsor/Essex area. If you’re passionate about automotive plastic injection mold design and have proven expertise in NX software, we want to hear from you. You MUST also have a valid drivers’ license, and your own transportation.

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years’ experience in a Mold Design and Surfacing in the automotive injection molding industry
- Proficient in NX software for mold design, surface modeling, and Class-A surfacing of interior/exterior parts
- Strong knowledge of mold design principles, surfacing techniques, and mold flow analysis
- Collaborate with product engineers to ensure moldable, cost-effective designs; support feasibility studies and design reviews
- Provide technical input during tool builds, trials, and validation; troubleshoot and resolve design/surfacing issues
- Skilled in creating 2D drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation with excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork abilities
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Tool Design, or related field
HOURLY RANGE:
- $28 to $35/hr DOE plus OT
