MANAGER – INDEPENDENT CARE FACILITY

Crystal Ridge Manor – Chilliwack, B.C.

Position: Full-Time Manager
Employment Type: Initially Temporary, with Potential for Long-Term/Permanent Employment
Start Date: Immediately
Location: On-site, Monday to Friday
Salary: Competitive annual salary based on experience and qualifications

About Crystal Ridge Manor

Crystal Ridge Manor is an established independent care facility for seniors located in Chilliwack, B.C. We are seeking a responsible, organized, and compassionate individual to join our team as Manager.

This position is being offered initially as a temporary replacement for our current Manager, who will be taking an extended medical leave. At this time, there is no anticipated date for her return. As a result, while the position will initially be temporary, there is potential for the successful candidate to transition into a long-term or permanent management position.

We are looking for someone who is confident working independently, enjoys working with seniors, and has strong organizational and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

The Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day administrative and operational management of the facility. Duties will include, but are not limited to:

Preparing and managing employee schedules and ensuring appropriate staffing coverage
Preparing payroll documentation and submitting payroll information as required
Working with the Cook to develop weekly/monthly menus and ensure appropriate food supplies are available
Ordering bulk grocery and food supplies from our regular suppliers
Completing regular Costco and other grocery shopping runs as required
Operating the company's vehicle for grocery and other business-related errands
Coordinating and overseeing resident appointments and transportation arrangements
Communicating with residents, families, employees, healthcare professionals, and service providers as required
Managing and scheduling annual rent increases and related documentation
Assisting with resident inquiries, concerns, and day-to-day needs
Supervising and supporting employees to ensure facility standards and expectations are maintained
Coordinating maintenance and other service requirements when necessary
Maintaining accurate administrative records and documentation
Ensuring the facility operates in an organized, efficient, and professional manner
Handling general administrative and operational responsibilities associated with running an independent care facility
Other duties as required to support the smooth day-to-day operation of Crystal Ridge Manor

Qualifications & Skills

The successful candidate will ideally have:

Previous management or supervisory experience, preferably in a senior care, independent living, assisted living, residential care, hospitality, or similar environment
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to work independently and make sound decisions
Strong computer and administrative skills
Experience with employee scheduling and payroll administration
A professional, respectful, and compassionate approach when working with seniors
The ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, employees, and outside service providers
A valid Class 5 B.C. driver's licence and a safe driving record, as the position requires operating a company vehicle for grocery and other business-related errands
The ability to be on-site Monday through Friday on a full-time basis

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is dependable, organized, personable, and hands-on. The Manager plays an important role in ensuring that both our residents and employees have a positive experience at Crystal Ridge Manor.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable taking initiative, managing multiple responsibilities throughout the day, resolving issues as they arise, and maintaining a calm and professional environment.

Experience working directly with seniors or within a care facility environment will be considered a strong asset.

Compensation

This is a full-time, on-site position, Monday through Friday.

The annual salary will be commensurate with the successful candidate's previous experience, qualifications, and management experience in this field.
