We're looking for a compassionate and dependable Health Care Aide to become part of an established care team supporting a client in Airdrie.

Schedule & Availability
We are currently hiring a caregiver who can provide consistent availability.
Required Morning Shifts
- Monday: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
- Tuesday to Thursday: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Applicants must be available for all Monday through Thursday morning shifts to ensure consistency of care and allow the client to build a relationship with a familiar caregiver.
Occasional Evening Shifts
- Monday to Thursday: 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM, as required for vacation coverage, illness coverage, or additional support.
While not required, preference may be given to applicants who are also available to provide occasional evening coverage when needed.
What You'll Do
Every client is unique, but responsibilities may include:
- Providing companionship and meaningful social interaction.
- Assisting with personal care while promoting dignity, independence, and choice.
- Supporting mobility, transfers, ambulation, and fall prevention.
- Providing medication assistance within the Health Care Aide scope of practice.
- Preparing meals and assisting with nutrition and hydration.
- Light housekeeping, laundry, and maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable home environment.
- Monitoring for changes in the client's health or wellbeing and communicating concerns promptly.
- Completing accurate and timely documentation.
- Working independently while exercising sound judgment, professionalism, and compassion.
Qualifications
Applicants must have:
- Health Care Aide Certificate.
- Current CLHA registration in good standing.
- Professional liability insurance.
- Current CPR & First Aid Certification.
- Current Vulnerable Sector Police Information Check.
- Valid Alberta driver's licence.
- Reliable vehicle to travel to the client's home.
Experience & Skills
The successful applicant will have:
- Minimum 2 years of Health Care Aide experience preferred.
- Experience providing care to seniors in a home care, supportive living, or long-term care setting.
- Strong observation and critical thinking skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to work independently with confidence and sound judgment.
- The ability to adapt to each client's unique routines, preferences, and goals.
