Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Leasing Manager to oversee the leasing operations of our property portfolio. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing leasing activities, fostering positive tenant relationships, and ensuring the efficient administration of leasing processes. This role requires a professional with strong sales, customer service, and administrative skills, as well as proficiency in property management software such as Yardi. The Leasing Manager will play a key role in maintaining high occupancy rates and supporting the overall success of our property management team.

Duties

Manage all aspects of the leasing process, including marketing available units, conducting property tours, and closing lease agreements
Utilize Yardi or similar property management software for data entry, lease tracking, and reporting
Maintain accurate and up-to-date tenant files, lease documentation, and filing systems
Respond promptly to inquiries via phone and email, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills
Negotiate lease terms with prospective tenants to achieve mutually beneficial agreements
Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new tenants and retain current residents
Coordinate with maintenance and administrative teams to ensure smooth move-ins and move-outs
Conduct regular follow-ups with prospective tenants to maximize leasing conversions
Maintain knowledge of local market trends and competitive properties to inform leasing strategies
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to property leasing

Qualifications

Proven experience in office administration, property management, or leasing roles
Proficiency in Yardi or comparable property management software is highly preferred
Strong sales skills with a demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively
Excellent customer service skills with professional phone etiquette
Experience with data entry, filing systems, and administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of Buildium is a plus
Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with tenants and team members
Prior experience in property management or real estate is desirable but not mandatory
