Requirements:
- ALL applicants MUST have a working vehicle to commute to work.
- Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 7:00 am to 5:30 pm. Overtime opportunities are available with the option to work on Fridays.
Position Overview:
As an Autobody Painter/Prepper, you will be responsible for prepping, priming, painting, and finishing automotive parts and components with precision and attention to detail. You will work in a fast-paced environment and ensure that all products meet our high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare automotive parts and surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking.
- Experience in preparation and application of all primers, sealers, base coats, color coats and clear coats.
- Apply primer, paint, and finish to parts following company specifications.
- Experience with Large Trucks and Equipment is an asset.
- Some removal and re-installation of bolt on components required
- Inspect work for any imperfections and take corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure the work area is clean, organized, and adheres to safety standards.
- Follow all procedures for mixing and handling paints and chemicals.
- Operate and maintain painting equipment and tools in a safe manner.
- Collaborate with other team members to meet production goals and timelines.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an Autobody Painter and/or Prepper is required.
- Strong knowledge of automotive paints, primers, and finishing products.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to safety.
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Certification in painting or related fields is a plus.
