Summary:
We are seeking a Junior Business Systems & Data Analyst to support the business systems, reporting, data, and day-to-day technology needs of our growing organization.
This is an entry-level role suited for a recent graduate in business analysis, information systems, computer science, data analytics, or a related field. The ideal candidate is curious, technically capable, humble, and interested in learning how business systems, databases, and reporting tools are used to solve real operational problems. This role will help support our core business applications, improve reporting, clean and organize data, and provide practical technology support to staff. We are looking for someone with the technical foundation and attitude to learn them deeply over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Learn and support company’s core business systems.
- Assist with internal system configuration, user setup, permissions, and basic administration.
- Help troubleshoot system issues and support staff with day-to-day requests and questions.
- Document system processes, support steps, and common issues.
- Work with business users to understand problems and translate them into clear system, reporting, or process requirements.
- Support ongoing system improvements, testing, and maintenance.
Data, Reporting, and Dashboards
- Clean, validate, and analyze data to ensure accuracy and usability.
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and business views.
- Organize data from business systems into structured, report-ready formats.
- Use SQL and database tools to query and analyze data, while identifying and improving data quality issues.
- Support reliable reporting and contribute to long-term data warehouse and data lake initiatives.
Database and Technical Support
- Work with databases, tables, queries, and reporting datasets.
- Maintain and structure data to support reporting and business intelligence.
- Support integrations between internal tools, business systems, and reporting platforms.
- Apply core database concepts (joins, keys, relationships) to ensure data accuracy and validation.
Day-to-Day IT Support
- Provide basic technical support, including troubleshooting computers, printers, phones, and Microsoft 365.
- Assist with new user setup, user access, and general hardware/software needs.
- Escalate issues when needed and maintain clear documentation for recurring support tasks.
Qualifications
- Recent graduate or early-career professional in a relevant field (e.g., Business Analysis, IT, Data Analytics).
- Basic knowledge of SQL, relational databases, and how data supports business decisions.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a willingness to learn new systems.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical users.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and willing to provide hands-on IT support as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SQL reporting, dashboards, or data visualization tools.
- Exposure to ERP, CRM, inventory, accounting, manufacturing, construction, or operational systems.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Excel Power Query, Python, or other reporting/data tools.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft 365 administration.
- Experience troubleshooting computers, printers, user accounts, or common office technology issues.
