Gator Construction Group Inc. is looking for an experienced, motivated, and highly organized Senior Civil Engineering Technologist /Project Coordinator to join our Calgary team.

This role is ideal for an experienced construction professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys taking ownership of project coordination, planning, and execution. You will work closely with Project Managers, field teams, clients, consultants, and subcontractors to help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and successfully.
What you’ll do
As a Senior Civil Engineering Technologist /Project Coordinator at Gator, you will support project delivery from pre-construction through closeout by:
- Coordinating with internal stakeholders and client management to prioritize and schedule project execution
- Assisting with project planning, scheduling, organizing, and evaluation from start to finish
- Preparing and coordinating project documentation, including process descriptions, marked-up drawings, plot plans, and field documentation
- Maintaining and monitoring project plans, schedules, budgets, expenditures, and work hours
- Supporting cost controls, schedule controls, material planning, resource planning, and change order administration
- Reviewing project specifications, drawings, and contracts, and assisting with interpretation of field issues and changes
- Managing project documentation and supporting contract administration activities
- Coordinating communication with clients, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Assisting with procurement, scheduling, and workforce coordination as required
- Supporting a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and high-quality execution
- Taking on additional duties as required to support successful project delivery

Qualifications and experience
- Post-secondary education in CET/Diploma in Engineering, or a related discipline
- 10+ years of experience in industrial and commercial construction environments
- Experience with concrete restoration, coatings, or related construction work is considered an asset
- Previous field experience as a labourer or foreman in concrete or coatings is considered an asset
- Strong understanding of project coordination, scheduling, budgeting, cost controls, and contract administration
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documents
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, Adobe Acrobat, and Windows operating systems
- AutoCAD experience is considered an asset
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
