About Homestead Marketplace
Homestead Marketplace is a collection of 12 like-minded, community-driven companies locally owned and operated. It is a destination where families will come together to shop, eat, and play – all with a strong focus on giving back to our community. Located at 6 Douglas Road in Quinte West, by the end of 2023 the 18-acre property will offer over 165,000 sq. ft. of premium, national retailers, casual dining restaurants, a fully-licensed sports grill, 24-hour gym and a one-of-a-kind 18-hole adventure golf and high ropes park.
We are currently seeking a passionate and organized Breakfast Cook who is comfortable in a fast-paced environment. The Breakfast Cook will report directly to the Kitchen Manager. The Breakfast Cook responsibilities include ensuring the highest level of food quality is delivered to guests in the morning, preparing fresh made to order meals in a timely manner and complying with safety and cleanliness standards. To be successful in this role, you should be able to collaborate effectively with colleagues and demonstrate strong teamwork skills. We are looking for a candidate who displays strong organizational and problem-solving skills, has excellent listening and communication skills and works well independently and as part of a team.
What you’ll do to be successful in this role:
- Prepare fresh made to order meals in a timely manner
- Posses Food Safety Certificate
- Daily and weekly prep as needed
- Work well under pressure at peak order times
- Daily cleaning duties to maintain a high level of restaurant cleanliness
- Being a team player that works well with others
- Other duties as assigned
What you’ll bring to the team:
- Proven experience as a Cook or the equivalent through formal culinary education
- Flexible schedule: available for day, weekend and morning shifts, as scheduled
- A positive attitude
- Ability to provide leadership and work effectively in a team environment
- A strong sense of attachment and pride towards one's community or city
