ABOUT THE JOB
We are seeking a motivated General Laborer to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build or advance their career in a hands‑on production environment while gaining practical experience in a supportive shop setting. Working alongside experienced team members, you will learn to prepare and scuff steel parts, interpret basic shop drawings, and safely operate equipment such as forklifts.
You will develop strong technical skills, contribute to efficient workflow, and play an important role in producing high‑quality finished components. In this position, you will help maintain a safe, clean, and productive shop floor while building a solid foundation for long‑term growth in the trade.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Scuff, prep, and clean steel parts for production or finishing
· Read and interpret basic technical drawings and instructions
· Operate a forklift safely to move materials around the shop
· Perform general shop labor duties as assigned
· Maintain a clean and safe work area
· Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Previous experience in a shop or industrial environment preferred
· Ability to interpret basic drawings and measurements
· Valid forklift certification is an asset (or willingness to obtain)
· Strong attention to detail and work ethic
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis
· Reliable, punctual, and able to work well in a team environment
