We are seeking a qualified individual to join our Machine Shop Team.

Job Summary
Produce dimensionally and visually correct parts in accordance with drawing specifications. Must be proficient in all Manual machine shop tasks and be willing to lead and train other employees.
Responsibilities
- Proficient in all manual Lathe operations, including advanced threading, precision turning & boring in both large and small part production.
- Proficient in all milling operations, including vertical & horizontal spindles.
- Knowledge of various types of metals and steel
- Leadership skills relating to the guidance of apprentice machinists.
- Handle, transport, and process products and materials using equipment.
- Operate and inspect material handling equipment (such as overhead & mobile cranes); light mobile equipment (such as forklifts, pick-up trucks)
- Good housekeeping practices at all times, to help maintain safe work areas for yourself and your co-workers
- Work independently or in a team environment.
- CNC experience is an asset.
- Must comply with the safety requirements at all times before performing any job assignments
Requirements
Experience – Minimum 5 years of experience in a Manual Machine shop environment.
Education – Red Seal Machining Journeyman Certificate would be an asset, but is not required
Skills – Strong drawing interpretation skills and understanding of machining principles.
